Watch Maximus NOW

I joined Vimeo. It's a site where I can easily upload videos of you guessed it, MAXIMUS. Like, all the time. I'm not smart enough to figure out how to share them to my blog, so in the meantime, go to:

I mainly did this for the grandparents and the members of Maximus' fan club.

Enjoy!

Vacation!

Here are a few pictures from our glorious vacation. Copper Mountain, Colorado reminds me of my childhood cabin. I almost cried because of the memories. I can't say enough how totally beautiful it was. All we did was hang out and ride bikes. Perfect. Here are a few pictures in a totally random order (click on the pictures to see how pretty it was):
Maximus cruising the village on his gike. (That's what he calls it, so we do too.)
Jesse and Maximus headed down the mountain on gikes.
Maximus hanging with Emma and wearing Jesse's cycling shades. No mom and dad, Maximus did not drink that beer in the corner of this photo :)
We stayed in an amazing condo. Like, perfect. It had two balconies that faced the village and a little lake and we could see the mountains and ski lifts. It was paradise. Here's Maximus doing his morning people watching.
Jason told him this was a good idea, so Maximus rolled with it. (It's a pump)
Jason, Jesse and Maximus riding gikes in the village.
Headed up the mountain. With gikes.

Aww, our cute little family.

We happened to be there during "Warrior Dash" and that, in itself, was awesome to watch. People jumped through mud, ran 4 miles and jumped over fire while dressed like fools. And yes, Jesse and I will be participating next year.

Great News!

Last week I learned that I am still cancer free! We're on five years baby!

While I'm at it, I'll update the 3 people who read my blog about us. This weekend we are going...wait for it...ON VACATION! Jesse has never, ever taken an official vacation in his life. Ever! The poor guy has worked so hard and is finally going to enjoy himself this weekend in Copper Mountain, Colorado. We are so grateful and fortunate to have have this opportunity to go. It's going to be time spent in the mountains with bikes and great people. I can't wait to see the mountains again! I love Lincoln, but I really miss mountains. The street we used to live on in Salt Lake City actually dead ended into a mountain. And Maximus will probably flip out when he sees them. So excited! Three days left! I was lucky to grow up with a cabin to retreat to with family and friends. Our cabin is/was in June Lake, California. It's a small ski town and totally beautiful. Copper is like that too. I feel like I'm a kid going to the cabin again! I'm totally rambling on and on, but I'm so excited!

We have been so fortunate to have Jesse take time off work. He hasn't worked in like, three months and this time off is well deserved. He used to work so hard. So, so hard. He would only see Maximus and me less than 20 hours a week. With his time off we've done some thinking. We're making a few life-adjustments and we'll see what happens. Life is too short to not do something that makes you happy, right?

Psycowpath Racing Weekend

Last weekend Jesse had a mountain biking race...in Nebraska. I know that sounds weird, but they find hills and woods. Anyway, I got a few adorable pictures of who else? It was HOT. And dusty. And windy. But it was fun.

Lucky dog! (Yes, Maximus is noshing on Lays potato chips. We had no food and it was an isolated incident, so lay off. Better than Cheetos!)This guy was very interested in Maximus' Strider bike. And Maximus was thrilled to show him.

4 Random Pictures

Mmm...quinoa! Maximus noshed about 2 cups of quinoa and "trees" (broccoli) the other night. It made a nice comeback the following day in his diaper.

How weird is this?

I found Maximus sitting on his throne in the backyard this morning. Jesse was like, "what's the big deal?" when I asked him about it.

I LOVE THIS PICTURE OF DREAMY JESSE! He should be on the cover of Cycling.
